Cuba
Lynne Deutch's first big trip was to Cuba as a young girl in 1958, making her third, and most recent trip to the country, a fitting place to realize her passion for travel photography. Cuba is a country full of intense dichotomy; a melting-pot of nationalities make up a rich cultural tradition while beautiful and historic architecture sits amongst a crumbling infrastructure. It is a place that has been next to impossible to visit for Americans yet leaves anyone who's been, in awe of the people and places. Lynne captures all the unique facets of the island nation in her series: the rich colors of their classic cars and buildings as well as their unique art and music culture. It is not surprising that Lynne adopted the Amex phrase “never leave home without it” when referring to her camera after visiting this dazzling country once again.
