Faraglioni, dal Punto Panoramico del Faro
According to another legend, the Faraglioni of Capri represented a guide for sailors at sea not only due to their immense size, but also because fires were once lit on their tops, the light of which represented a point of reference for the helmsmen to find the route.
The name derives from the Greek word Pharos, in Italian "Faro," (lighthouse) essential for avoiding collisions with the mainland and continuing the journey at sea.
