The Americas
Lynne Deutch's photographic series 'The Americas' is certainly her most broad, covering a range of subjects and locations. Unlike her other collections, which were captured in finite periods of travel within specific regions, this one is curated by geography, with each shot linked by its connection to North, Central, or South America.
Many of the photographs find Lynne closer to home with the saturated sunsets and silhouetted skylines of Los Angeles. Rich colors permeate the collection as she guides us through comforting images of California hills, American Bison, and the warm clay of New Mexico’s architecture.
Most of Lynne's series are focused around the human spirit and there is always a rich optimism that pervades her work.
