At the beginning of the 20th century, the great German industrialist Friedrich Alfred Krupp commissioned the engineer Emilio Mayer to design a path to connect Marina Piccola, where the German tycoon usually docked his mega yacht, with the suite of the Quisisana hotel.
An extraordinary and unique work of engineering, one of the most spectacular paths in the world, visible today from the Gardens of Augustus. From June 2023 it is possible to walk in after many years of restoration.
