Lynne Deutch's life and career are born from the continuous motion of transformation. From moving across the country to traveling worldwide, her arc is one of creativity and exploration. Lynne’s lifelong passion for art and design has taken many forms, covering different mediums across years of art education and involvement.
Lynne studied at the prestigious Parsons School of Design in Fashion Illustration. She received a Bachelor of Science in Studio Art from Skidmore College, where she developed a portfolio of figurative works on canvas noted for their rich embodiment of mood and body language.
Lynne became a Detroit Institute of Art member while living in Michigan, and her advocacy for the arts began in earnest. Later, while living in Los Angeles, she became a founding Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) member. She has long supported the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), where she is currently a member of the Curator’s Circle. A businesswoman, Lynne created and managed a successful upscale corporate and retail gift company on Melrose Place as a pioneering female entrepreneur.
Her passion for painting, sketching, and photography allows her perspective on the human form and condition through various lenses. This unique gift of the arts enables Lynne to capture the spirit and state of her subject, whether a person or place and compels her to create and document the most precious moments and interactions as part of her creative life’s work.
