After years of involvement in the arts that included fashion design and figurative painting, Lynne Deutch's photography series are a culmination of her passion for travel and enthusiasm for cultures and the human form. Lynne's first big trip was to Cuba as a young girl in 1958 making her third, and most recent trip to the lively country, a fitting place to realize her passion for travel photography. A country full of intense charisma alongside a crumbling infrastructure and unique US relations, it was this trip that Lynne adopted the Amex phrase “never leave home without it” when referring to her camera. Since then, her travels have taken her across the globe, from both poles, to Cambodia and Burma, Egypt, the Galapagos, and beyond. Lynne Deutch's photos cover a range of topics but her truest passion is trying to capture the spirit of individuals as she explores new locations around the world. This process naturally leads to a complimentary passion for architecture and the structures that represent these cultures. No matter the region of Lynne's travels, her ability to find the beauty and compassion in any landscape is what makes her work captivating.
